Abstract

Background: During this Covid-19 period, pregnant women must undergo pregnancy and preparation for pregnancy with peace of mind without any kind of anxiety. Disturbances due to anxiety experienced by the mother will become an emergency for both the mother and the fetus in the delivery process. One of the efforts to reduce the anxiety of pregnant women when facing childbirth preparation is by providing health education that aims to reduce the level of anxiety of pregnant women. Preparation for normal delivery for mothers during this Covid-19 period does not only focus on physical preparation but also mental and spiritual preparation. Objectives: To find out how the effectiveness of health education regarding preparation for childbirth in a holistic manner during the pandemic 19 in reducing the level of anxiety of pregnant women. Methods: This research was conducted at PMB Husniyati Palembang with 50 pregnant women as respondents. This type of research is analytical research that analyzes the effectiveness of the independent variable on the dependent variable using the Wilcoxon test. Sampling was done by purposive sampling. Results: There is a difference in the value before and after the health education intervention using the Wilcoxon test, obtained p value = 0.000. Conclusion: health education about holistic delivery preparation during the covid-19 pandemic has proven to be effective in reducing the anxiety level of pregnant women.
