Peer Review Process
Publication of articles in Masker Medika is dependent solely on scientific validity and coherence as judged by our editors and/or peer reviewers, who will also assess whether the writing is comprehensible and whether the work represents a useful contribution to the field. Masker Medika acknowledged the effort and suggestions made by its reviewers.
Every submitted paper is independently reviewed by at least two reviewers using blind-peer review method. Decision for publication, amendment, or rejection is based upon their reports/recommendation. If reviewers consider a manuscript unsuitable for publication in this journal, a statement explaining the basis for the decision will be sent to the authors within two or three months of the submission date.
After being reviewed, there will be four kinds of editor decision based on the reviewers’ recommendation:
> Accept Submission: The submission will be accepted without revisions.
> Revisions Required: The submission will be accepted after minor changes have been made.
> Resubmit for Review: The submission needs to be re-worked, but with significant changes, may be accepted. It will require a second round of review, however.
> Decline Submission: The submission will not be published in the journal
Decision
Reviewers advise the editor, who is responsible for the final decision to accept or reject the article. The Editors will reach a decision based on these reports and, where necessary, they will consult with members of the Editorial Board. Editor’s decision is final.
